Money is a Clue

As a psychotherapist, I have been troubled by the lack of discussion in the financial world, the media, and even the therapeutic community about the effects of our emotional lives on our relationships with money and, as a result, on the economy, our country, and our world. I've been in contact with the media, expressing the importance of our talking about our feelings – our emotional relationships with money at a deeper level than most people can even imagine – and how they affect us not only individually but also communally. I have been offering individual and workshop sessions on Healing Your Relationship with Money for many years. My clients have attended, and also the public, psychotherapists, financial professionals, and many other business professionals have attended. Financial planners have brought me to their local and regional study groups and seen how crucial it is to work with the feelings at the very root of our relationships with money.

Your unconscious relationship with money is complex, fascinating, and reveals profound clues for healing your psyche, your soul, and your financial life. In my unique work with people’s relationships with money, I utilize a powerful technique to help them take a step deeper in their own healing journey.

We cannot sustain the changes we make in the outer world – with our budgets, our spending, our saving, our earning – without tending to the underlying relationship with money, at the root. No matter what time we’re in, whether it’s a global recession or economic prosperity, it is crucial that we each explore our individual feelings, beliefs, and perceptions about money. The links below will help you learn about some ways you can begin this exploration . . . for your sake and for the sake of our world.

WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING ABOUT JUDITH'S WORK WITH
PEOPLE'S MONEY RELATIONSHIPS…

“Judith offers a wise and inspiring exploration of the connection between money and leading a fulfilling life. Through thought-provoking exercises, Judith demonstrates that examining our attitudes toward money—earning it, spending it, and giving it away—can offer surprising insight into our lives, our values, and the essence of prosperity.”
- Stacy Francis, CFP, CDFA, President, Francis Financial, Inc. and Founder, Savvy Ladies, after offering Judith’s workshop for women in her Savvy Ladies group

“I’ll never look at money the same way again!"
- Cheryl Panosian-Haddad, LPC

“I just did your experiment with $1600 in hand. I cannot believe how powerful it was to actually see my connections to money and the beliefs I have held about it. I was floored. Love this experiment.”
- Alecia Evans

“I came expecting to get something of value and got even more. Congratulations on making such an important mark on mankind, Judith.   I feel sure that you impact others in more ways than you imagine.”
- Jasmin, Connecticut

"Judith’s presentation at Sacred Heart University’s Ryan-Matura Library was inspirational and enlightening.  Judith used stories to connect with the audience on how different items and people are used for fulfilling needs based on unresolved past experiences.  One of the stories centered on how  a child’s need for its mother and  how not getting enough from those needs will eventually manifest itself into other psychological needs in his/her future life.  She showed the audience how this is also true with the relationship people have with money, therefore placing much power on the inanimate object, not fulfilling the need of enough.  Her methods and explanations on how these needs manifest themselves seemed to strike a chord with the audience where there was interaction for further clarification and understanding."
- Renata Cioffi, Ryan Matura Library at Sacred Heart University

“Judith comes at this issue in a very different way from the typical financial planner, but her approach is amazingly effective at getting to the heart of how people feel about money. We learned in a half hour more about this person’s relationship with money than I can learn in six months!"
- Jeffrey N. Mehler, CFP® “Fee-Only Financial Planner
