Spiritual Midwifery Training

Spiritual Midwifery is a deep, grounded joining of therapeutic and spiritual work, created by Judith Barr with the intimate help of Spirit. Its intention is: the raising of consciousness, healing to the roots of our being, organic growth, alchemical transformation, and the fulfillment of our potential. Most of all, this work helps us give deeper and deeper birth to our spirit ... for our own sake and for the sake of our world.

People who work and train with Judith often call her a shaman with a difference, explaining -- instead of Judith, as shaman, going into other realms to retrieve parts of themselves they know are missing, she helps them develop their own ability to bring back parts they didn't even know they had. They delight in the empowerment!

Many mainstream training programs are structured so that after a specific time period you graduate or are certified to practice that technique. Judith’s Spiritual Midwifery Training, however, is an organic process which is attuned to the development and unfoldment of each person’s human and divine self.

This work is so unique that it would not be ethical, have integrity, or even be possible to truly train someone without his or her having experienced at least a year of working with Judith one-to-one before beginning the training program.

Judith’s process, through which she helps others prepare to be Spiritual Midwives, is a deep, thorough intensive process of initiation. Some aspects are alike for everyone, and some are individualized for the unique needs of each person. It weaves together:

• Your own personal work--healing, birthing, transformation (both individual and group);
• Various forms of guidance, supervision, and mentoring (both individual and group);
• Home adventures; and
• Where possible, some form of apprenticeship.

For those who don’t yet have the experience with Judith to commit to the entire process, Judith is open to creating doorways through which some aspects of the work can be done while the experience develops:

• For those wanting to know more, an Introduction To Spiritual Midwifery can be presented. 
• For those living outside the North East Corridor, Judith is willing to travel to your group’s location.
• For those not yet ready to commit to the entire process, but who want to take a deeper step into the exploration and preparation, there are select segments of the process that may be undertaken through individual or group personal work, supervision, personal training intensives, and/or training workshops.

This work requires a deep, profound commitment ... a longing and passion to become a Spiritual Midwife and to continue your own deep work for a life-time. You will need an adventurous spirit, a devotion to love and truth, and a deep desire to create heaven on earth.
