HEALING OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH FOOD
Part of the Healing Our Relationship with Power Series
The act of eating is not just a biological necessity. It is a very personal experience.
It can be used as a defense - against our own feelings, against the pain resulting from our unconscious childhood wounds, and against what we perceive as a loss of power and control in our lives. Exploring the transference people have onto food is a unique way that reveals the root causes of food issues. The wounds to our relationships with food reflect the wounds to our relationships with power, individually and globally.
A participant in one of my Healing Our Relationship With Food workshops said . . . "I have been to one of Judith's workshops myself . . . and have never seen anyone go so deeply into the roots of people's relationships with food . . . I could not even begin to describe the intensity of the experience, as I watched participants navigate their own feelings about food and find the origins of those feelings and understanding about how their early lives related to food . . . it was such a deep feeling experience for those attending . . . and very very inspiring!"
Imagine how each person's relationship with food impacts world hunger!
