Food Is A Clue

*Have you ever wondered why you eat the way you do?
*Do your eating habits and choices seem “out of your control?”
*Would you like to learn to make healthier eating choices…from the inside out?

Your unconscious relationship with food offers clues not just into your eating habits and food choices...but also profound clues to help heal to the root…mind, body, heart, and soul!

The act of eating is not just a biological necessity. It is a very personal and primal experience. It can be used as a defense – against our own feelings, against the pain resulting from our unconscious childhood wounds, and against what we perceive as a loss of power and control in our lives.

Part of my work as a psychotherapist addresses the relationships people have with food and with eating…and assists people in exploring the hidden feelings they have about food and the root causes of food issues. Through my workshop, Healing Your Relationship with Food, and through my individual work with people about their relationships with food, I help people discover their inner relationship with food…and the effect on their eating habits.

Who could benefit from knowing about this work?

  • Nutritionists

  • Psychotherapists

  • Healthcare professionals concerned about people's relationships with food

  • …and anyone interested in exploring and healing the roots of their own relationship with food!

Imagine how each person’s relationship with food impacts world hunger!
Imagine how different our world would be if everyone worked to heal his/her relationship with food!

WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING ABOUT JUDITH'S WORK
WITH PEOPLE’S RELATIONSHIPS WITH FOOD:

“The first time I met Judith I felt a certain calm. That was before she spoke a word. Judith has a very comforting presence that makes you feel at ease right away. After being in the room with Judith for 5 minutes, I felt like I had known her for years. I had the feeling that she knew me and was going to help me.

“Judith was lecturing to a small group at Dina Khader's office about our relationship with food. I did not know what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. Judith's carefully chosen words are powerful.

“Judith got us to think back at our childhood and how we sometimes would use food as a crutch. Many in the room acknowledged that they used certain foods as a substitute for an absent mother or an abusive father. The net result of these childhood experiences was often an obesity problem that could not be resolved through diet alone. Judith showed us how she slowly helps the patient peel the different levels of emotions just like layers of onion skin.

“The process is slow and deliberate. Judith's involvement is that of a guide, helping the patient uncover their own true self.

“At the event, there were some people who volunteered to work in the group and some who felt too shy. At the end of our meeting, there was a lot of introspection. After a couple of days, we got to hear from some of the attendees. The reaction overall was very positive. For those who did not feel at ease discussing their issues in public, we suggested they try and see Judith one on one.

“For those who have some deep-seated emotional trauma, I believe that Judith can help them accept themselves as worthy individuals, yes, worthy of loving themselves. Worthy of stopping their self-destructive behavior.”
